יִשָּׂשכָר זְבוּלֻן וּבְנְיָמִן

וַיְהִי כָּל־נֶפֶשׁ יֹצְאֵי יֶרֶךְ־יַעֲקֹב שִׁבְעִים נָפֶשׁ וְיוֹסֵף הָיָה בְמִצְרָיִם

 1:5 way'hiy Käl-nefesh yotz'ëy yerekh'-yaáqov shiv'iym näfesh w'yôšëf häyäh v'mitz'räyim

 1:5 And all x3605 the souls 5315 that came out 3318 z8802 of the loins 3409 of Ya`áköv יַעֲקֹב 3290 were x1961 seventy 7657 souls: 5315 for Yôsëf יוֹסֵף 3130 was x1961 in Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 [already].

וַיָּמָת יוֹסֵף וְכָל־אֶחָיו וְכֹל הַדּוֹר הַהוּא

 1:6 waYämät yôšëf w'khäl-echäyw w'khol haDôr hahû

 1:6 And Yôsëf יוֹסֵף 3130 died, 4191 z8799 and all x3605 his brethren, 251 and all x3605 that x1931 generation. 1755

וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל פָּרוּ וַיִּשְׁרְצוּ וַיִּרְבּוּ וַיַּעַצְמוּ בִּמְאֹד מְאֹד וַתִּמָּלֵא הָאָרֶץ אֹתָם פ

וַיָּקָם מֶלֶךְ־חָדָשׁ עַל־מִצְרָיִם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדַע אֶת־יוֹסֵף

 1:8 waYäqäm melekh'-chädäsh al-mitz'räyim ásher lo-yäda et-yôšëf

וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־עַמּוֹ הִנֵּה עַם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל רַב וְעָצוּם מִמֶּנּוּ

הָבָה נִתְחַכְּמָה לוֹ פֶּן־יִרְבֶּה וְהָיָה כִּי־תִקְרֶאנָה מִלְחָמָה וְנוֹסַף גַּם־הוּא עַל־שֹׂנְאֵינוּ וְנִלְחַם־בָּנוּ וְעָלָה מִן־הָאָרֶץ

 1:10 häväh nit'chaK'mäh lô Pen-yir'Beh w'häyäh Kiy-tiq'renäh mil'chämäh w'nôšaf Gam-hû al-son'ëynû w'nil'cham-Bänû w'äläh min-hääretz

וַיָּשִׂימוּ עָלָיו שָׂרֵי מִסִּים לְמַעַן עַנֹּתוֹ בְּסִבְלֹתָם וַיִּבֶן עָרֵי מִסְכְּנוֹת לְפַרְעֹה אֶת־פִּתֹם וְאֶת־רַעַמְסֵס

 1:11 waYäsiymû äläyw särëy miŠiym l'maan aNotô B'šiv'lotäm waYiven ärëy miš'K'nôt l'far'oh et-Pitom w'et-raam'šëš

וְכַאֲשֶׁר יְעַנּוּ אֹתוֹ כֵּן יִרְבֶּה וְכֵן יִפְרֹץ וַיָּקֻצוּ מִפְּנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

וַיַּעֲבִדוּ מִצְרַיִם אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּפָרֶךְ

וַיְמָרְרוּ אֶת־חַיֵּיהֶם בַּעֲבֹדָה קָשָׁה בְּחֹמֶר וּבִלְבֵנִים וּבְכָל־עֲבֹדָה בַּשָּׂדֶה אֵת כָּל־עֲבֹדָתָם אֲשֶׁר־עָבְדוּ בָהֶם בְּפָרֶךְ

וַיֹּאמֶר מֶלֶךְ מִצְרַיִם לַמְיַלְּדֹת הָעִבְרִיֹּת אֲשֶׁר שֵׁם הָאַחַת שִׁפְרָה וְשֵׁם הַשֵּׁנִית פּוּעָה

 1:15 waYomer melekh' mitz'rayim lam'yaL'dot häiv'riYot ásher shëm häachat shif'räh w'shëm haSHëniyt Pûäh

 1:15 ¶ And the king 4428 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 spake 559 z8799 to the `Ivrî עִברִי 5680 midwives, 3205 z8764 of which x834 the name 8034 of the one 259 [was] Šifrà שִׁפרָה, 8236 and the name 8034 of the other 8145 Pû`à פּוּעָה: 6326

וַיֹּאמֶר בְּיַלֶּדְכֶן אֶת־הָעִבְרִיּוֹת וּרְאִיתֶן עַל־הָאָבְנָיִם אִם־בֵּן הוּא וַהֲמִתֶּן אֹתוֹ וְאִם־בַּת הִיא וָחָיָה

 1:16 waYomer B'yaLed'khen et-häiv'riYôt ûr'iyten al-hääv'näyim im-Bën hû wahámiTen otô w'im-Bat hiy wächäyäh

 1:16 And he said, 559 z8799 When ye do the office of a midwife 3205 z8763 to x853 the `Ivrî עִברִי women, 5680 and see 7200 z8804 [them] upon x5921 the stools; 70 if x518 it x1931 [be] a son, 1121 then ye shall kill 4191 z8689 him: but if x518 it x1931 [be] a daughter, 1323 then she shall live. 2425 z8804

וַתִּירֶאןָ הַמְיַלְּדֹת אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְלֹא עָשׂוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֲלֵיהֶן מֶלֶךְ מִצְרָיִם וַתְּחַיֶּיןָ אֶת־הַיְלָדִים

 1:17 waTiyrenä ham'yaL'dot et-häélohiym w'lo äsû Kaásher DiBer álëyhen melekh' mitz'räyim waT'chaYeynä et-hay'lädiym

 1:17 But the midwives 3205 z8764 feared 3372 z8799 x853 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 and did 6213 z8804 not x3808 as x834 the king 4428 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 commanded 1696 z8765 x413 them, but saved 2421 z0 x853 the men children 3206 alive. y2421 z8762

וַיִּקְרָא מֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִם לַמְיַלְּדֹת וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶן מַדּוּעַ עֲשִׂיתֶן הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה וַתְּחַיֶּיןָ אֶת־הַיְלָדִים

 1:18 waYiq'rä melekh'-mitz'rayim lam'yaL'dot waYomer lähen maDûª ásiyten haDävär haZeh waT'chaYeynä et-hay'lädiym

 1:18 And the king 4428 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 called y7121 z8799 for x7121 the midwives, 3205 z8764 and said 559 z8799 unto them, Why 4069 have ye done 6213 z8804 this x2088 thing, 1697 and have saved 2421 z0 x853 the men children 3206 alive? y2421 z8762

וַתֹּאמַרְןָ הַמְיַלְּדֹת אֶל־פַּרְעֹה כִּי לֹא כַנָּשִׁים הַמִּצְרִיֹּת הָעִבְרִיֹּת כִּי־חָיוֹת הֵנָּה בְּטֶרֶם תָּבוֹא אֲלֵהֶן הַמְיַלֶּדֶת וְיָלָדוּ

 1:19 waTomar'nä ham'yaL'dot el-Par'oh Kiy lo khaNäshiym haMitz'riYot häiv'riYot Kiy-chäyôt hëNäh B'ţerem Tävô álëhen ham'yaLedet w'yälädû

 1:19 And the midwives 3205 z8764 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Par`ò פַּרעֹה, 6547 Because x3588 the `Ivrî עִברִי y5680 women y802 x5680 [are] not x3808 as the Mixrî מִצרִי x4713 women; y4713 x802 for x3588 they x2007 [are] lively, 2422 and are delivered 3205 z8804 ere 2962 the midwives 3205 z8764 come in 935 z8799 unto x413 them.

וַיֵּיטֶב אֱלֹהִים לַמְיַלְּדֹת וַיִּרֶב הָעָם וַיַּעַצְמוּ מְאֹד

 1:20 waYëyţev élohiym lam'yaL'dot waYirev hääm waYaatz'mû m'od

 1:20 Therefore ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 dealt well 3190 z8686 with the midwives: 3205 z8764 and the people 5971 multiplied, 7235 z8799 and waxed very y3966 mighty. 6105 z8799 x3966

וַיְהִי כִּי־יָרְאוּ הַמְיַלְּדֹת אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וַיַּעַשׂ לָהֶם בָּתִּים

 1:21 And it came to pass, x1961 because x3588 the midwives 3205 z8764 feared 3372 z8804 x853 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 that he made 6213 z8799 them houses. 1004

וַיְצַו פַּרְעֹה לְכָל־עַמּוֹ לֵאמֹר כָּל־הַבֵּן הַיִּלּוֹד הַיְאֹרָה תַּשְׁלִיכֻהוּ וְכָל־הַבַּת תְּחַיּוּן ס

 1:22 And Par`ò פַּרעֹה 6547 charged 6680 z8762 all x3605 his people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800 Every x3605 son 1121 that is born 3209 ye shall cast 7993 z8686 into the river, 2975 and every x3605 daughter 1323 ye shall save alive. 2421 z8762
